The Oakland Tribune reports, “Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said in his post game press briefing that Oren O’Neal and Drew Carter had sustained knee injuries that will likely keep them out for the entire regular season.” Full story here.
Monster Take: This is a tough break for Carter and further evidence of why players hate the pre-season. Ronald Curry will have more opportunity now.

Monster Take: Croyle amounts to little more than a fantasy backup with spot starting potential.

The AP reports regarding Larry Johnson’s healed foot. “”It felt good to come out here and still be able to come out and run,” Johnson said after the 90-minute practice on Tuesday. “Body-wise, I’m 100 percent.” Full story here.
Monster Take: So far all of the news about Larry Johnson’s recovery from a broken foot has been good. Johnson should see significant improvement from last year, but issues at QB and on the offensive line will likely keep him from elite back status this year.
