Broncos WR Brandon Marshall OK to fully participate

The Rocky Mountain News reports that Marshall “was cleared to fully participate in team activities this week. Marshall resumed full weightlifting and conditioning work to augment his rehabilitation regimen Monday.” The article goes on to say “he started freely catching passes with both hands and encountered no problems.” Full story here.

Monster Take: Marshall indicated that he still has some numbness on the back of his hand, but that it won’t affect his ability to catch the ball. He seems to be ahead of schedule in his recovery. Now, if he can just get his personal life in order he should be set for a very good season.

Broncos WR Brandon Marshall under league scrutiny

The Denver Post reports, “Marshall could be suspended by the NFL under its Personal Conduct Policy because of multiple arrests and alleged incidents.” Full story here.

Monster Take: The league has been cracking down on personal conduct issues without waiting for convictions. The fact that the league is looking into Marshall’s conduct is cause for concern.

Raiders WR Javon Walker to be OK for training camp

The AP reports on Javon Walker’s injury. “The info that I have is he’s going to be fine,” Kiffin said. “Training camp won’t be an issue. … But until our guys look at him, I don’t want to say (the extent of Walker’s injuries).” Full story here.

Monster Take: We’ll let you know when the team has a chance to examine the extent of Walker’s injuries. It sounds like he’s going to be fine for training camp, but right now that’s based on a phone call between Walker and Kiffin.

Raiders WR Javon Walker injured in Vegas

The AP reports, “Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was found unconscious on the streets of Las Vegas with an orbital fracture on Monday morning, according to the city’s Fox affiliate.” Full story here.

Monster Take: Walker has gotten off to a slow start in Oakland by reporting to camp out of shape. This can’t possibly help his situation at all. The team has yet to make a statement on the extent of his injuries. We’ll let you know as more details are made available.

Raiders WR Ronald Curry Recovering from bone spur removal

The Contra Costa Times reports, “Wide receiver Ronald Curry, back from surgery to remove a bone spur which he said hampered him all last season, returned to practice and looked as if he has never been away.” Full story here.

Monster Take: Curry will look to regain a starting spot opposite Javon Walker. Walker will demand much of JaMarcus Russell’s attention; however, Curry might be worth a look in deeper leagues.

Raiders RB Lamont Jordan told not to practice

The Contra Costa Times reports, “Jordan met with coach Lane Kiffin Tuesday morning and was told he wouldn’t practice as the club examines its options with regard to moving him off the roster.” Full story here.

Monster Take: With good production by Justin Fargas last year and the drafting of Darren McFadden this year, Lamont Jordan and his fat contract seem certain to be headed elsewhere.

Broncos RB Travis Henry Released

ESPN reports, “big expectations in Denver for Travis Henry ended Monday when the Broncos released the running back one season into his five-year free-agent deal.” Full story here.

Monster Take: What is there to say other than the obvious - Henry’s prospects for 2008 just took a plunge from fantastic if he could hold off Selvin Young for the Broncos starting RB position to zippo. Young’s prospects get an immediate boost and Michael Pittman’s stock rises as well.

Broncos RB Travis Henry has no more chances

The Denver Post reports about Travis Henry. “There are no more chances for Travis, and he understands that,” Shanahan said. “As time goes on, we’ll see how he handles that situation. The key is he has to stay healthy and keep his nose out of trouble. If he doesn’t, somebody else will come in and do the job. It’s not like we don’t have the ability to go in different directions.” Full story here.

Monster Take: It sounds like Shanahan is losing patience with Henry. We’ll see how Henry responds.
